Yesterday’s reflection was a story about my neighbor and an invitation to consider what you value most. You can read or revisit that here.
But it’s one thing to know what we value most…
And quite another to make time for those things when the competing demands of work, caregiving, paying bills, running a household and generally trying to keep ourselves afloat in a loud, busy world.
There are two quotes I repeat to myself daily.
I say these like a mantra.
Like a song.
Like a prayer.
I come back to them when I feel like I’m failing, not doing “enough,” or being pulled in many directions at once.
I’m delighted to share them with you as we lean into rest together:
“Your best is changing all the time.”
- Don Miguel Ruiz
“Do your best and be happy with it.”
-Guru Singh
When I hold both of these ideas in my heart at once, they give me so much peace.
Like the ring of a bell.
Thanks for being here,
Rhonda Linn
P.S. A longer reflection on one of these quotes (from the archives) called “Messy House and Overgrown Flowerbeds: Coming To Peace with What’s Undone” can be found by clicking here.
